The following temporary position is available for the 2024-2025 school year as noted below.

POSITION:                       PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELOR - 1.0 FTE
                                                                                                                   
AVAILABILITY:                 September 11, 2024 (anticipated) - December 13, 2024 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in School Counseling
  • Professional Educator License with School Counselor endorsement
  • Experience as a classroom teacher or guidance counselor preferred
  • Knowledge of electronic Student Management Systems
  • Experience with college and career information systems
  • Experience and/or knowledge of Developmental Counseling
  • Proficient with PCs, tablets, and other mobile electronic devices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Apps and cloud-based applications
  • Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed
  • Demonstrated aptitude as a self-starter who works with minimal supervision
  • Effective interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills
  • Effective communication, human relations, and problem solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong orientation toward providing customer service
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work positively and productively with adults and high school age students
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES:                   Professional School Counselor
                  
SALARY/RATE:                           TBD – per Appendix A Licensed Salary Schedule - Negotiated Agreement
