Job Description The Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB) invites you to consider an enjoyable and gratifying employment opportunity with our school. We are looking for a dynamic and visionary Orientation & Mobility Specialist to join our team. This position will be working in Southern Utah (St. George, Cedar City, Beaver) and surrounding areas.
Principal Duties: As an Orientation & Mobility Specialist you will: -Provide direct Orientation & Mobility (O&M) services to blind/visually impaired students, ages 3-21, in a variety of educational and community settings including advanced travel with bus systems -Provide O&M assessments for students on caseload. -Provide instruction and consultation in school districts. -Consult with parents, educators, and vision consultants. -Responsible for writing progress reports, updating student records, etc. -Improve professional competence through participation in staff development activities and other professional growth activities.
