Must hold a license issued by any agency.
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Math (General), Intellectual Disabilities, Learning Disabilities, Mild/Moderate Disabilities, Special Education (General).
The license must be in one of the following grades: 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Description
We are seeking an experienced Math/Special Education Teacher to join our school. In this role, you will be responsible for creating lesson plans and delivering instruction to special education math students in grades 7-12. The successful candidate will create a learning environment that fosters academic growth and encourages students to develop their math skills. This role must also be able to assess student progress and provide guidance to ensure success in the classroom.
Duties include: Develop and execute lesson plans for math classes. Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and parents. Prepare students for standardized tests and assessments. Utilize technology to supplement instruction and engage students. Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student success. Manage student behavior in the classroom. Provide extra help to students who need additional assistance. Participate in professional development activities. Differentiate instruction.
