Air Frame Structures Instructor
Position is currently part time with growth and expansion potential for the right person
Position approx 10 hours per week, 9-month contract…. Salary is $30,000 to $35,000 per year depending on experience. Contract starts in August and runs through May.
Position will be primarily at the Hill AFB Museum under the direction of the Utah Military Academy, working with the museum staff. Candidate will work with high school students, primarily juniors and seniors. Will instruct students on different aspects of air frame structures and repair to include: sheet metal design and fabrication, corrosion control, and riveting. There is a potential to add minor Composites work to the class. Will coordinate with the museum restoration director on project assignments, working on historic military aircraft. Will teach necessary skills and monitor and track student progress on assigned projects. Will ensure safety training and monitor safety practices on all projects. A highly motivated candidate would assist in building the program. All tools and required machinery provided.
