Utah International Charter School is a unique small secondary school in South Salt Lake City. Our mission is to give English learners full access to a rigorous secondary curriculum by providing content-based, sheltered English instruction in every class, and to empower refugees, immigrants and American-born students with collaboration skills, critical-thinking skills, and diverse global perspectives. We are seeking a highly qualified math teacher to join our teaching team for the 2024-25 school year. Responsibilities: Plan and implement accessible and challenging curriculum and daily lessons in to teach Essential Math skills as well as collaborate and plan to support Secondary Math I and II classes. Plan and implement school advisory curriculum for the grade level assigned. Manage a caring, respectful, restorative, student-centered classroom. Work effectively with diverse English language learners. Participate meaningfully in teacher team and professional development activities. Participate in preservice training in early- to mid-August 2024.
