Position Overview: We are looking for individual to serve as the K-6 Librarian at The Ranches Academy. The ideal candidate will have help foster a love of reading in students and have the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment within the school's library.
Responsibilities:
Manage the school library, ensuring an organized and inviting space for students and staff.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate library resources into the curriculum and support literacy initiatives.
Foster a love of reading by organizing and promoting library programs, book clubs, and reading challenges.
Instruct students on library skills, information literacy, and the responsible use of technology.
Select a diverse and appropriate collection of books, digital resources, and other media materials that align with the school's curriculum and support student interests.
Assist students in locating and selecting appropriate reading materials.
Stay informed about current trends in children's literature and educational technology to enhance library offerings.
Collaborate with the school community to organize and participate in special events, such as author visits and book fairs.
