Description
TITLE: KIDDIE PARADISE PROGRAM COORDINATOR
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s /Bachelor’s Degree in related field OR 12 credit hours or more in early childhood, child development or closely related field in an accredited college or university OR 60 actual hours of instruction, provided in conferences, seminars, lectures, or workshops in the areas of early childhood, child development, or closely related field AND 24 months or more of childcare experience.
- Should be 21 years of age or older.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal/Executive Director
JOB GOAL: To provide and sustain a positive learning environment for children by managing day to day operations while ensuring facilities are maintained and daycare staff is managed and scheduled accordingly.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervision of assigned staff
- Scheduling
- Evaluations
- Meetings/trainings
- Develop an efficient work team through shared responsibilities
- Develop lessons, activities, themes, etc. that promote the physical, social/emotional, and cognitive development of children.
- Ensure a safe, happy, and stimulating environment for children.
- Evaluate and purchase supplies, snacks, and materials.
- Interview, hire, and train new staff members, ensuring they meet all policies and requirements.
- Complete ongoing training and courses to remain up to date on early childhood development.
- Communicate with parents regarding their children and the center’s policies.
- Children’s files up to date and completed.
- Performs other responsibilities as may be assigned by the appropriate supervisor.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Per Paradise Schools calendar and staff needs.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with
provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Personnel.
