Must hold a certificate issued by Arizona State Department of Education.
The certificate position area must be in one of the following areas: Computers, Elementary Teacher, Success for All, Title I, Dean, President/Chancellor, Vice-President/Provost, Assistant Principal, Assistant Principal (Vocational), Athletic Director, Principal, Principal (Vocational), Administrator, Assistant Superintendent, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Technology Officer, Controller/Comptroller, Deputy Superintendent, Director – Curriculum/Instructional Services, Director – Education, Director – Equity/Employee Relations, Director – Human Resources, Director – Information Systems, Director – Personnel, Director – Professional Development, Director – Special Education, Director – Technology, Specialist, Superintendent, Analyst, Assistant Director, Assistant State Superintendent/Commissioner, Bureau Chief, Chancellor, Coordinator, Deputy, Deputy Chancellor, Deputy State Superintendent/Commissioner, Director, Executive Director, Manager/Supervisor, Specialist, State Superintendent/Commissioner, Team Leader.
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th.
The certificate status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program. Expired certifications will be considered.

COUNSELOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Nogales Unified School District #1
Purpose Statement: In accordance with the ADE School Safety Program Grant, the elementary counselor will assist to contribute to a safe school environment for all students through prevention and intervention approaches. The counselor will work to develop skills in the areas of personal-social growth, and deterring delinquent or violent behaviors and work as a resource for the school community. The individual will develop positive interactive relationships with students, staff, and community members.
This is a grant funded position and the grant is for a three year period with a possibility for continuation. Expected hire date is August 2020 for SY 2020-2021.
