Must hold a certificate issued by Oklahoma State Department of Education.
The certificate position area must be in School Age Day Care.
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: Preschool/Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st.
The certificate status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.

Job Opening: Early Childhood School Counselor Location: Newcastle Early Childhood Center (Pre-K through 1st Grade) Start Date: 2025–2026 school year
Newcastle Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a qualified and compassionate School Counselor at Newcastle Early Childhood Center. The ideal candidate will have experience providing group counseling, character development, and age-appropriate guidance lessons for students in Pre-K through 1st grade.
Qualifications:
Valid Oklahoma School Counselor Certification (or ability to obtain)
Demonstrated experience or training in early childhood counseling strategies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, families, and the community
Willingness to participate in school-wide and community events
Preferred Skills:
Experience in planning and delivering social-emotional learning lessons
Knowledge of trauma-informed practices
Familiarity with the ASCA National Model
