Must hold a certificate issued by Oklahoma State Department of Education.
The certificate position area must be in Media Specialist/Librarian.
The certificate must be in one of the following grades: 6th, 7th, 8th.
The certificate status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Description
Newcastle Middle School is looking for a Librarian to work with students and staff to support instruction while providing opportunities for students to enjoy reading. He/She will be responsible for coordinating check-in, and out of library books, technology and resource materials, as well as troubleshooting technology, The ideal candidate will maintain the library by keeping inventory up to date, selecting age level appropriate titles for purchase, and work with teachers to purchase curriculum materials. Other tasks may include, but not limited to: organizing and running book fairs, managing the finances, inventory, coordinating lessons and units of study with classroom teachers, consulting with teachers, and supporting curriculum throughout the school.
