Newcastle High School School is seeking a Librarian to facilitate both instruction support and recreational reading opportunities for students and staff. Responsibilities encompass managing the check-in and check-out process for library materials and technology, as well as troubleshooting technical issues. The ideal candidate will maintain an updated inventory, select appropriate titles for acquisition, and collaborate with teachers to procure curriculum materials. Beyond these duties, tasks may include organizing book fairs, managing finances, and coordinating lessons with classroom teachers while promoting information literacy and research skills to foster a culture of lifelong learning within the school community. Ideal candidates should hold an Oklahoma Teaching Certificate in the field of Library Media Specialist or be in the process of completing certification requirements. Newcastle Public Schools is a growing community and a 4 day school week.
