Description
District Behavior Specialist responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: knowledge of the Least Restrictive Behavioral Interventions (LRBI) and discipline requirements at district and state level; knowledge of the Three Tiered Model of Positive Behavior Support Interventions; knowledge and skills in applied behavior analysis; consult and collaborate with parents, district staff, individual teachers, and school teams about students behavioral issues and concerns; assist school teams with intervention strategies, functional behavior assessments, and behavior intervention plans; provide coaching and training to individual teachers or groups of teachers on evidence-based classroom management strategies; oversee District Behavior Intervention Team and train/supervise Behavior Support Technicians; provide training on behavior management and crisis management; and other duties as assigned.
Full time contract position as District Behavior Specialist paid on the 2024-25 licensed salary schedule (TBD) plus 10 extra days.
