Elementary Teacher 3-5
Must hold a license issued by any agency.
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Elementary Teacher, Title I, English as a Second Language (EFL/ELL/ESL/ESOL), English, Reading, Reading Specialist, Reading/Language Arts.
The license must be in one of the following grades: 3rd, 4th, 5th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Description
Responsibilities:
Curriculum Development: Design and implement culturally relevant curriculum that reflects the backgrounds and experiences of our students, integrating diverse perspectives across all subject areas.
Differentiated Instruction: Utilize a variety of teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with varying cultural backgrounds, languages, and abilities.
Relationship Building: Establish positive relationships with students, families, and community members, recognizing and honoring the cultural strengths and assets they bring to the learning process.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to coordinate instruction, share resources, and implement school-wide initiatives aimed at promoting cultural responsiveness and equity.
Data-Informed Instruction: Utilize assessment data to inform instructional planning and differentiate instruction to address individual student needs, ensuring all students have equitable access to high-quality learning experiences.
Community Engagement: Engage families and community stakeholders in the educational process, leveraging cultural resources and partnerships to support student success both inside and outside the classroom.
Professional Growth: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities focused on culturally responsive teaching, equity, and anti-bias education to enhance your effectiveness as an educator.
