PRESCHOOL COORDINATOR
QUALIFICATIONS:
Possess a Master’s Degree with Special training in School Administration and Early Childhood or Related Field
Minimum of three (3) years in classroom teaching experience
Possess a Certificate in Early Childhood (Preferred)
Knowledgeable in developmentally appropriate learning styles
Possess a Principal’s Certificate (Preferred)
Possess demonstrated administrative skills and leadership ability; recognized as an educational leader
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish curriculum and maintain use and review of Preschool operations, licensing and grants compliance
Oversee maintenance and basic health and safety standards on the preschool campus
Organize, administer and direct all pupil activities for the campus/school
Organize recruitment and enrollment and eligibility of program participants
Conduct regular staff meetings
Hire, supervise and evaluate staff-Certificated and Classified/Support personnel
Coordinate transportation services as needed
Plan and coordinate parent workshops and engagement
Maintain relationship with collaborating agencies
Coordinate and manage instructional programs aligned to Preschool and its sponsoring agents
Attend district meetings and participate in district level meetings as requested
Directly supervise programs within the Preschool campus/school, ie. Special Education, ESL, Bilingual and Title l
Establish and maintain a collaborative representative group of stakeholders in decision making
Oversee and maintain reporting requirements and budgets aligned to the preschool campus/school
Supervision of ongoing record keeping necessary to complete federal (compliance)
reports
Organize and plan staff development program(s) as needed
Report directly to the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction
SALARY: Administrative Schedule (1.A)
