DISTRICT CURRICULUM COORDINATOR
QUALIFICATIONS:
(1) Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited educational institution.
(2) Valid Florida certification in one or more core curricular areas and/or Educational Leadership
(3) Three (3) years teaching experience.
(4) Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
? Knowledge of district curriculum and instructional programs.
? Familiarity with current trends, research, and best practices in instruction and curriculum development.
? Strong organizational skills.
? Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
? Capacity to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
? Ability to lead groups to consensus.
? Ability to lead groups to consensus.
? Proficient in Google Suite with expertise in formatting documents for clarity and consistency across educational materials.

JOB GOAL:
To provide leadership in all areas of curriculum and instruction.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Service Delivery
*(1) Supports all district academic programs grades K-12.
*(2) Assists in the acquisition of appropriate teaching materials, textbooks, and equipment.
*(3) Collaborates with instructional leaders to ensure that curriculum and instruction initiatives are student focused and aligned with the district mission and beliefs and with state and federal mandates.
*(4) Provides direction to district curriculum leads on various curriculum and professional learning projects.
*(5) Manages curriculum development and professional learning funds
*(6) Facilitates the development and organization of activities during inservice week and professional learning days through collaboration with directors, principals, instructional specialists/academic coaches, and other key stakeholders.
*(7) Maintains and develops the district K-12 Curriculum website.
Inter/Intra-Agency Communication and Delivery
*(8) Respond to inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
*(9) Visit schools and participate in the resolution of issues.
*(10) Advise the Assistant Superintendent regarding all aspects of curriculum and instructional services.
*(11) Keep supervisor informed of potential or unusual events.
*(12) Use effective, positive interpersonal communication skills.
Professional Growth and Improvement
*(13) Assist with training for teachers.
*(14) Maintain a network of peer contacts through professional organizations.
*(15) Keep informed and disseminate information about current research, trends and best practices in area of responsibility.
*(16) Maintain expertise in assigned areas to fulfill project goals and objectives.
*(17) Provide and receive training and technical assistance as needed.
*(18) Facilitate the development, implementation and evaluation of staff development activities in assigned areas.
*(19) Attend training sessions, conferences and workshops as assigned or appropriate to keep abreast of current practices, programs and legal issues.
*(20) Adhere to the Code of Ethics of the Education Profession in Florida and Principles of Professional Conduct for the Education Profession in Florida.

*Essential Performance Responsibilities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary and benefits shall be paid consistent with the district’s approved compensation plan. Length of the work year and hours of employment shall be those established by the district.
COMPENSATION:
Compensation for this position is Administrative Range IV. Twelve months (250 days).
EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
