The certificate must be in one of the following grades: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th.

Elementary classroom teachers are highly organized professionals who create and maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to rigorous learning. Teachers provide positive educational experiences for all students; ensure the overall success of the school community within the framework of board policies and state regulations by performing duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. The employee’s primary duty will be the performances of work requiring advanced knowledge, which is predominantly intellectual in character and which includes work requiring the consistent exercise of discretion and judgment. Elementary teachers build foundational knowledge and inspire the love of learning.
