City Academy is searching for Paraprofessionals with an English Language Arts or Math/Science specialization to work both in a resource or study room, and in regular education classrooms with 7th-12th grade students. Paraprofessionals will be responsible for one on one interaction with students that will involve prompting and academic support. They will be assisting with classroom observations and data collection. Paraprofessionals will be working with teachers and administrators in order to provide support for both teachers and students as appropriate. They will be doing weekly learning progress checks and discussing the results with students in order to celebrate and/or formulate a plan for improvement. Paraprofessionals additionally will be monitoring passing time, before and/or after school extended day programs, as well as helping with the service of breakfast and lunch.
