ACCOUNTING CLERK - MAC
Hiring Pay Range: $19.52 - $20.72 per hour, DOE
Schedule: 40 hrs/week, Monday - Friday

Definition: Under immediate supervision of the Director of Finance performs work of moderate difficulty maintaining and processing accounting and expense reporting information.

Responsibilities:
- Establish new General Ledger accounts, fund and project codes.
- Process budget transfers.
- Process support documentation requirements for the National School Lunch Program.
- Conduct audits for the National School Lunch Program applications.
- Assist in the payment of accounts payable invoices.
- track utility expenditures for budgeting purposes,
- Maintain chart of accounts spreadsheet for the district.
- Conduct audits for enrollment and withdrawal forms from all schools.
- Review and reconcile sign in/sign out sheets for all schools to ensure attendance is accurately reported.
- Assist in processing commodities and surplus food orders for the district.
- Perform other accounting and clerical tasks as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Other Characteristics:
- Knowledge of accounting, automated accounting systems and spreadsheets.
- Skill in using basic arithmetic.
- Skill in performing data entry quickly and accurately.
- Skill in proofreading and verifying detailed work.
- Skill in handling confidential information.
- Skill in communicating effectively, orally and in writing.
- Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and systems.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and administrators.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience performing functions similar to those indicated above.
