ESSENTIAL DUTIES: |
- Individual positions may be responsible for some or all of the listed duties and or/other related duties
- Conduct home visits to provide instruction, support, and resource information to families regarding medical providers, federal programs, school districts, and available community services
- Participate in the IFSP (Individual Family Service Plan) process
- Provide early intervention services, as part of an early intervention team, according to federal and state regulations under the direction of Early Childhood Staff
- Monitor language and general development skills
- Maintain files/reports to ensure compliance with federal and state laws
- Monitor amplification and low vision equipment
- Continue professional growth through coursework, seminars, and training sessions
- Communicate with full-time ASDB Early Childhood Staff
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Policies, procedures, and programs of the immediate work unit
- Principles and practices of administration and management
- Agency or program rules, regulations, and operating procedures
- Regional, State, and local resources available for families of the ECFE (Early Childhood and Family Education) program
- Early Childhood Development
- Developmental needs of sensory impaired children
- Arizona Early Intervention Program
SKILLED IN:
- Social perceptiveness
- Time management
- Planning/organization
ABILITY TO:
- Communicate information and ideas effectively so that others will understand
- Assess needs and provide guidance/instruction
- Work with diverse cultural and ethnic groups
- Maintain and prepare accurate reports
SPECIAL CONDITIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to pass FBI and State background check
- Defensive Driver Training Program to be completed by all agency personnel that drive on State business
- Bachelor's Degree in Education , Audiology, or related field per AzElP requirements
- Fluent in language of assigned family
- Reliable transportation
