Must hold a license issued by Utah State Office of Education.
The license must be in one of the following types: Secondary Education (6-12) (Level 1), Secondary Education (6-12) (Level 2), Secondary Education (6-12) (Level 3), Secondary Education (6-12) (ARL).
The license position area must be in one of the following areas: Earth Science, Science (General).
The license must be in one of the following grades: 7th, 8th, 9th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program.
Description
-Collaborate in Professional Learning Communities according to established PLC policies and norms. -Follow established curriculum maps and work with the PLC team to revise as needed. -Assist in developing and administering common formative and summative assessments. -Utilize data from assessments to drive instruction and provide RTI within the UMTSS framework. -Develop lesson plans and tasks/assignments that will ensure proficiency of Utah Core Standards. -Demonstrate and supervise the safe and proper use of equipment necessary for English Language Arts. -Monitor students' progress, assign tasks, and grade assignments in a timely manner based on a competency based/standard based education model. -Discuss students' progress with parents, students, counselors, administrators, and PLC team on a regular basis. -Implement and enforce classroom rules and safety procedures. -Meet expectations as assigned by administration. -Familiarity and willingness to utilize technology in the classroom
