Academica West, an education management company, is now accepting applications for an Assistant Principal for the upcoming 2024-2025 School Year. This announcement is a registry for positions with various schools in the Davis County area.
Academica West (AW) provides Charter Schools with comprehensive service and support. We ensure a professionally managed and operated charter school that meets the requirements of the school's contracts, local ordinances and State and Federal Laws. Academica West offers guidance and resources to guide Charter Schools from conception onward. Most importantly, Academica West ensures the vision of a charter school Board of Directors is faithfully and effectively implemented.
Some responsibilities of the Assistant Principal include, but are not limited to:
- Working under the direction of the Director and performing duties as assigned by the Director - Assist the Director in the creation, development, and implementation of curriculum - Assist the Director with instructional coaching and staff training - Provide student behavioral support using restorative practices - Assist the Director in monitoring students’ educational progress and managing counseling and other ancillary student services
Preference may be given to candidates with the following qualifications: - Valid Utah teaching license - Principal Certification - Prior secondary educational experience - Online or blended learning administration or instructional experience - Experience in using multiple technology platforms and the ability to quickly learn new tools and applications
