Scholarship Eligibility and Rules
Eligible Persons Must:

  1. Be enrolled at an accredited Institute of Higher Education in the United States and fall into one of the following categories as of the Spring 2008 semester (see chart below for all eligible categories):
    1. Be a second semester Junior or first semester Senior majoring in a state approved program for Special Education, Speech Pathology/Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or School Psychology.
    2. Be a second semester senior majoring in a state approved teacher education program and enrolled to take continuing education credits or enter a state approved master's level program for Special Education, Speech Pathology/Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or School Psychology.
    3. Hold a bachelor's degree in teaching from a state approved teacher education program and enrolled to take continuing education credits or enter a state approved master's level program for Special Education, Speech Pathology/Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or School Psychology.

Crisis Intervention Specialist School Psychologist

Emotional Behavior Disorder (K-12) Social Worker
Hearing Impairment Special Education (Birth - 12)
Learning Disability (K-12) Special Education Coordinator
Life Skills Speech-Language Pathology/Therapy
Mental Retardation (K-12) Teaching Aide - Special Ed. (Pre-K - 12)
Mild/Moderate Disabilities Visual Impairment


Rules for the scholarship program are as follows:
  1. An award of $1,000 will be made to each of the five winners of the competition. The money will be paid to the accounts receivable office* at the educational institution of each winner's choice once proof of registration is submitted to Teachers-Teachers.com. Monies must be used by December 31, 2009.
  2. The decisions of the judges are final. Teachers-Teachers.com reserves the right to cancel the competition or disburse less than five awards in the event that too few qualified applications are received.
  3. Winners will be announced by August 31, 2008. Only the five entrants selected by the judges will be notified.
  4. Teachers-Teachers.com employees, members of the Scholarship Selection Committee and/or their family members are not eligible for the scholarship.
*Alternate payment arrangements can be made for students already on full scholarship
