Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

Location:  District-wide-6 schools within the Hudson, Lochbuie and Keenesburg area

We are looking for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our Weld Re-3J team!  

Job Qualifications:

• Must be able to speak, read and understand English
• Must have ability to relate well with children and other district staff and community members
• Strong communication skills with students, parents and staff members--able to generate positive relations and morale
• Highly motivated and results oriented
• Must be able to keep information related to students with special needs confidential
• Ability to use district technology
• Must be responsive to the suggestions of administration
• Adhere to district policies and the strategic plan

Education/Formal Training: 

• Colorado COTA license with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies required
• Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prior experience in a school setting preferred
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Terms of Employment:

• Must pass general background check and submit fingerprints, if required, upon hire
• Must provide official transcripts from University upon hire

Work Days/Salary:

• Work is primarily days, 5 days/week
• Typically 183 working days per school year
• Automatically enrolled in Colorado Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) retirement plan

• $28-$33.50/hour based on education and experience.  May receive up to 10 years of experience credit for work completed in the last 13 years.
