Utah International Charter School was founded in 2001 and is located in South Salt Lake City. Our mission is to provide a rigorous and relevant education for English learners and other students in grades 6 to 12, including recent immigrants, refugees, and native English speakers interested in global perspectives, using the research-supported instructional methods of the Internationals Network for Public Schools. We are seeking a highly qualified secondary music teacher to join our teaching staff for the 2024-25 school year and beyond. Responsibilities Plan and implement accessible and challenging curriculum and daily lessons in vocal and/or instrumental music, basic music theory, and music appreciation for students grades in 6 to 12 with little or no prior music instruction. Manage a caring, respectful, student-centered classroom. Work effectively with diverse English language learners. Participate meaningfully in teacher team and professional development activities.
Participate in preservice training August 8 - 16th. First day of school on August 19th.
