English Language Arts Teacher for AAI - Grades 9-12

The license position area must be in one of the following areas: English, Journalism, Reading, Reading Specialist, Reading/Language Arts.
The license must be in one of the following grades: 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th.
The license status must be active or about to graduate from a state-approved teacher preparation program. Expired certifications will be considered.

Seeking a dynamic Language Arts teacher who loves to work with grades (9-12) for the 2024-25 school year.
AAI serves grades 6-12 and there will be additional opportunities to work with many grade levels in the course of a school year facilitating Friday workshops and week-long immersions (two weeks per year). AAI is a PCBL (personalized competency-based learning) program with a focus on student projects (PBL) and experiential learning as the primary modalities of instruction.

What you will do • Knowledge of content through meaningful, technology-driven, and standards-based lesson plans daily • Integrate cross-subject for lesson plans • Inspire students to have a passion for learning • Excellent classroom management to meet diverse learning needs of students • Provide leadership in school-wide projects that engage the entire school community in subject related learning opportunities • Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities • Maintain accurate records as required by law and school policy • Other duties as needed to contribute to the overall academic, social, and emotional growth of all students
